Overview of Group Sound Therapy
Sound Therapy is a vibrational healing therapy where gongs, singing bowls, shamanic & percussion instruments are played. This allows the body to enter a state of relaxation whereby the body can initiate self-healing and facilitates the release of stuck energy. It literally works on every cell in your body, vibrating it back into balance.
Helens journey into Sound Therapy
I was first introduced to Sound Therapy during a meditation class where the teacher played a Tibetan singing bowl behind me – I felt the sound vibrations up and down my spine and felt such a strong connection that upon going home that evening I was Googling how to become a sound therapy practitioner! Over a period of years I finally realised this goal and have been practicing Sound Therapy for over 10 years and have been teaching Sound Therapy for the past 3 years from my home in Stretton.
Who can benefit from Sound Therapy
Anyone can benefit from Sound Therapy however there are a few conditions that are contraindicated.
What should members expect from a Sound Therapy session?
Enter into a space of non-judgement, enter into a willingness to offer yourself an hour of ‘me time’. Come open-hearted, set an intention for the session, be that for relaxation, healing or inspiration. Then relax and allow the sound vibrations to wash over you.
My favourite thing about Woolfox?
I love the relaxing feeling my whole body experiences as I enter into the tranquillity that the Woolfox space offers, my body literally sighs and goes ‘ahh’.
