Their restaurant, The View, with its imposing stone fireplace, seats one hundred. Floor to ceiling windows not only flood the space with natural light, but also frame our panoramic view of Rutland Water to widescreen perfection. Diners on the opposite side of the restaurant are treated to an equally-pleasing, verdant view of the new courtyard and glasshouse.

Catering for a wide palette, from Red Leicester and homemade onion marmalade on sourdough to blade of beef bourguignon with horseradish mash and buttered kale. You can also expect delicious homemade cakes and specials.

Their Shop has a spectacular selection of homeware, gifts and children’s toys and The Plant Nursery grows close to a quarter of a million plants every year. Their team of knowledgeable plant experts are on hand around the nursery with help and advice 7 days a week. Purchase houseplants, herbs, shrubs, trees and perennials as well as a solid horticultural offering.

A great place to spend a lazy morning with breakfast, or afternoon mooching around the shop and plant nursery finishing off with afternoon tea.
